Since its inception, the LOG`EL Project has been at the forefront, fighting to apply research and development for socio-economic development, motivate and inspire young Ugandan scientists to collectively further science, technology and innovation in the country. LOG`EL PROJECT is a research and development science and technology organization that was established as an initiative of various professionals, academics and experts. LOG`EL PROJECT exists to advocate for improved young people's involvement in national socio-economic transformation at various levels through science, technology and innovation.
It is self-evident that science, technology and innovation play crucial roles in the social and economic development of a country. The lessons of the last two centuries have shown the crucial difference between having and not having the science and technology capability, even for countries with vast natural resources.
The difference lies in being able to exploit these resources themselves or be exploited by others. In the new century, it is not always crucial as to who owns the resources. The winner will be the one who can, with the capability of science, technology and innovation, extract the most value out of them.
Indeed resources are no longer exclusively the treasure trove under the ground. LOG`EL PROJECT`S treasure is the potential that is in our people and their heads. But only with science, technology and innovation can that treasure trove be unlocked.
